Using CT scans and 3D printing technology, we are now able to re-create a mold of your ankle arthritis & deformity. This allows more precise surgery by using the specific patients cutting & alignment guides.
This technique of total ankle replacements to:
- better correct your arthritis,
- improved joint longevity,
- minimises operating time, and
- with reduced complications,
In future, we should be able to utilise virtual reality training to help us "virtually trial" our surgical techniques prior to surgery, and further ensuring smoother operating technique and reducing complications.
